Get To Know MPLS Writer
The RBM: When and why did you begin writing?
MPLS: I began writing at the age of 15. When I as a young girl I would lock myself in my room
and write anything that came to my head. I would pride myself of being able to communicate in
a way that at the time no child could.
The RBM: When you look back on not only your growth as a Woman but as a person as a
whole, how much did writing contribute to it?
MPLS: When I look back on my growth and as a women my writing contributed to the person I
am now. There is nothing better then the feeling I have deep within my soul when I sit down and
write. My inner body is overwhelmed with content and happiness. It’s my God given talent I
plan to use to my ultimate advantage.
The RBM: Your writing is very inspirational, the style unique, and speaks of your
Spirituality. What influence has God had on your life?
MPLS: My writing style as many have guessed has came from my relationship with God. I often
find myself without answers to my many questions. So I ask him through my writing
techniques. God and my spirituality play a major part in my life. Everyday I awake it is because
of his mercy.
The RBM: Do you have any children? If so, how many and their ages.
MPLS: Yes, I have a son and we just celebrated his 1 year birthday.
The RBM: When you joined Mecca, you mentioned that you were in the process of
publishing a book? How's that coming?
MPLS: My book entitled “4 Walls No Windows” is doing great. I am in the long process of
editing.
The RBM: Who is your favorite author and why?
MPLS: I have many favorite authors; however I suppose if I had to choose just one I would say
Kimberly Lawson Roby. She writes about subjects I can relate too. Although many authors bring
in the audience by relationships and drama I can honestly say her books are page turners. In
addition she is a Christian Writer so above anything else she has my vote!
The RBM: Favorite book?
MPLS: I keep a collection of books I have read. I guess I would have to say “Soul Journey” By:

The RBM: How did you find our writing Community?
MPLS: I found Mecca Lounge on the Black Planet website
The RBM: What's one thing about Mecca you would like us to improve? What's the thing
you like most about Mecca?
MPLS: Currently there is nothing I would suggest regarding improving the writing community.
The one thing I like most about Mecca is the people here. They all are very honest and
respectful. And they all have excellent work.
The RBM: Tell the rest of the Community some of your hobbies and interests.
MPLS: My hobbies and interest include reading, writing and watching comedy movies. I enjoy
wrestling too!
The RBM: Finally, what would you like to say to the visitors browsing and reading this
interview?
MPLS: One last final note: I urge any and all aspiring authors/writers to continue to stay
determined. Never give in to the many distractions, temptations that can arise. Always remember
if your passion is writing, continue to fed your passion by writing more, studying and being
focused. Last but defiantly not least ensure you are putting 100% into everything you do!
